Gym challenge leaderboard
Free · Self-reported scores · Ricky is not a licensed motivational speaker
Every January it happens: the group chat agrees to a challenge. Seventy-five days, ten thousand steps, three workouts a week — the terms are declared, the enthusiasm is real, and by day nine nobody can prove who's still in. Not because anyone quit. Because nobody was keeping score.
If You Ain't First keeps the score. A live leaderboard for steps, workouts, miles, pushups — whatever the challenge counts — with an AI announcer named Ricky whose motivational method is noticing, publicly, that you have not logged anything since Tuesday.
Built for challenges
- Everyone logs their own numbers. Self-report boards let each person post scores as they happen, with optional photo proof — which is not for verification, it's for the gloating.
- Daily and weekly rounds. Run it as one long season or crown a winner every day or week — fresh starts keep the back of the pack from giving up in week two.
- Count up or count down. Most steps wins, or fewest rest days wins — the board ranks either direction.
- Ricky, the anti-motivational speaker. He celebrates streaks, mourns their deaths, and delivers the day-nine commentary your challenge deserves. Dials control how hard he goes.
FAQ
What can we track? Any number: steps, workouts, miles, reps, pounds, minutes. You name the metric when you create the board, and whether more or less of it wins.
How do people join? One link or QR code, ten seconds, no app. Works for a gym crew, an office wellness thing (see office competitions), or the January group chat.
Is it free? Three active boards free, unlimited people on each, Ricky included. A challenge costs nothing but your dignity.
