IF YOU AIN'T FIRST

Office competition leaderboard

Free · No app, no IT ticket · Ricky has an HR-safe setting

Every office competition dies the same death: a spreadsheet someone made on day one, updated twice, then abandoned in a shared drive next to “Q3_planning_FINAL_v2.” The contest didn't fail — the scoreboard failed. Nobody rallies around a spreadsheet.

If You Ain't First is a live leaderboard your team will actually open: sales calls, demos booked, tickets closed, steps walked — on a board that updates in real time, with an AI announcer named Ricky calling the race like it's the playoffs. Because to the person in second place, it is.

Why it works at work

  • The HR-safe dial is real. Ricky's intensity and edge are settings. On “soft,” he's a charming color commentator who celebrates wins and gently notes who's coasting — nothing you couldn't read aloud in standup.
  • No procurement saga. It's a website. Share one link in Slack, everyone's on the board in ten seconds, and nobody filed a ticket.
  • Weekly winners keep it alive. Crown somebody every week so the race resets before anyone checks out — the sales floor classic.
  • Invite-only by default. Only people with the link even know the board exists. What happens on the Q4 board stays on the Q4 board.

FAQ

Is the AI actually safe for work? On the office settings, yes — that's what the dials are for. The spicier settings exist for other kinds of boards (see fantasy leagues) and are opt-in per board.

What do offices put on boards? Sales races, demo counts, step challenges, tickets closed, referral drives, and the occasional group vote on where the offsite dinner happens.

What does it cost? Free for three active boards, unlimited people. If the competition outgrows that, premium is $6/month — less than the trophy you were going to buy.
